Residential Home:
Monroe Street Home in SoCo
Concrete is a great differentiator with the versatility to transform any space. The builder and designer, Studio Innerspace, of a new SoCo duplex used Newbold Stone to set their offering apart from other spec homes in a crowded market.
Instead of implementing concrete only on flat counter spaces, the designers drew upon the adaptable nature of the material and used it in three- dimensional applications. The use of concrete in the master bath and shower surround created a textured and organic feel in the space. The dramatic and powerful implementation of a Newbold Stone concrete fireplace and hearth is a focal point in the living room.
The intent was for the first unit to sell within 90 days of completion. However, once the concrete fireplace was installed, the unit sold almost immediately, more than 60 days BEFORE the unit was completed.
This result and the reliability of the Newbold Stone team were so great that the builder has already commissioned a second duplex with similar Newbold Stone installations.
