2009 Cool House Tour:
Custom Recycled Glass with Terrazzo Look
The Cool House Tour is conducted each year by the Texas Solar Energy Society. Among the participants this year, a house on Caudill Lane, off Hamilton Pool Road, gathered quite a bit of attention despite its reletively remote location. Designed by Eric Brown at Thoughtcrib and built but by Foursquare Builders, this modest dwelling (at 1070 square feet) packed in a number of features, including Newbold Stone concrete countertops.
These were a custom formulation using a mixture of both crystal clear and cobalt blue recycled glass in our standard Dove color. THe specific proportion of glass was reached by working directly with the clients to determine and match their tastes.
