Residential Bath:
Organic Baths with Whimsical Color
The client was very interested in a home that maintained a very organic feel. So much so, that she felt that the popular "Erosion" style sinks looked too artificial. Well into the design process, the client produced a terra cotta pot that she had picked up on a trip. The design goal became a "Dual sink, larger on one side, that looks like it was made out of this pot, with open shelves beneath." A worthy challenge to be sure.
A matching tub deck and shower threshold finished off the Master Bath.
The small sink in the Powder room was to have a simple round sink that looked "Hewn-y" and not like it was machine made. Hence, a custom sink form was required for this as well.
