Hot Mama’s Espresso Bar
There are definite challenges to making it in the coffee business. A new espresso bar needs to define itself by the experience it gives the customer. In a stylish, artistic neighborhood, like Austin’s burgeoning East Side, those challenges are doubled.
This new espresso bar needed to be modern, trendy, bohemian while remaining warm and inviting. The incorporation of a Newbold Stone concrete front counter, bar-top and logo customized tables was a critical step in enabling Hot Mama's Espresso Bar to give customers a memorable and enjoyable coffee experience.
Building on an elegant and insightful design by Studio Innerspace, slight modifications were made and several personal touches, such as coffee beans embedded in the counters, were added in collaboration with the designers and owner. The total design was completed in only 5 weeks and resulted in a space that invites and speaks coffee!
